What Is Dry Socket?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After extraction, a socket is left behind that slowly forms a blood clot to promote healing. This clot is fragile and, if broken, will expose the underlying bone and nerves. This is what is referred to as \u201cdry socket\u201d and it can be extremely painful and disruptive to everyday activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
